A range of workshops
Bravo Bravo can offer a range of exciting and inspiring workshops for all ages and abilities in drumming, dance and carnival preparation.
A great track record
Bravo Bravo has conducted many workshops projects with schools, refugee groups and community centres combining steel pan with African drums and carnival Mas performance.
Between 2001-3 workshop centres have included: Black History Month, Tottenham, Royal Festival Hall, South Bank, Yaa Asantewa, Westminster, The Globe Theatre, Bankside, East Oxford School and Community Centre, Asylum Welcome, Northfields School, Pegasus Theatre, Art T. Centre, MISH @ Mission Hall and Drayton School.
Professional tutor practioners
Through their experience in the African and Caribbean artistic community, Bravo Bravo can draw upon a wide range of highly qualified tutors to lead workshops. Leading professionals in their chosen field like Lawrence and Joan Noel, carnival Mas makers (read about Lawrence and Joan Noel on the BBC website) and Danny Laryea, master drummer master drummer and former dance director of Adzido are part of the Bravo Bravo Network of workshop leaders.
Workshops and Performance
Workshops in acoustic African drumming and percussion culminate in a performance that is joined by the tutors who are globally respected professional players.
Drum Hire Available
Where drums are not available they can be hired from Bravo Bravo. Workshops and performance will be led by at least two of the UK's leading percussionists in African and Caribbean drumming. (see the link who are we and group CV's). They share many years experience as specialist teachers in this field.
Drumming as Therapy
Drumming workshops can provide a great way of communicating to one another through music and relaxing by concentrating on drum rhythms.
Learning to appreciate other cultures
Bravo Bravo locate their workshops within the cultural backgrounds of Africa and the Caribbean. They demonstrate the important role that these play in the evelopment of contemporary music cultures worldwide.

If you are in the UK, it is sometimes possible to get funding help for workshops through your regional Arts Council.
